Dr. Naresh Sundar Rajan is a leading expert in health data modernization, standards, and interoperability with over a decade of experience in health information technology. As the CEO of Neantix, he drives innovation in healthcare and business through advanced data solutions. In addition to his role at Neantix, Dr. Rajan is an Assistant Professor (Adjunct) at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Public Health. Currently serving on the Health Information Technology Advisory Committee (HITAC), Dr. Rajan contributes to national healthcare IT policy and standards development. He holds leadership positions in various healthcare technology organizations, including serving as Chairperson of the Technical Architecture Subcommittee for the Prescription Monitoring Information eXchange (PMIX) Standards Organization and as an HIE representative with the Gravity Project.
Dr. Rajan’s career highlights include developing innovative solutions for prescription drug monitoring, patient matching, and health information exchange. His work has been pivotal in advancing data democratization, enhancing health data infrastructure, and improving interoperability across healthcare sectors. Previously, as Chief Data Officer at CyncHealth, he led major initiatives including state-wide interoperable systems and COVID-19 contact tracing solutions. With a background in research and development, Dr. Rajan has published extensively on topics such as scalable data quality assessment, patient matching, and FAIR principles in healthcare. He holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Informatics from the University of Utah. His ongoing involvement in key national advisory committees underscores his continued commitment to shaping the future of health data technology and interoperability.
